Hello, Everyone who is going to read this. We've got exciting news: AQOLAS 0.2 is ready! A new story out of the four was completed: "An encounter by the beach" written and illustrated by Toto.

And a message from Toto:

"Ok! Hello there! So, this is the first time I'm publishing a game ever so I'm still unsure of how to do this. Of course I didn't do it alone, it's been great working with Flylin, Genesis, Hello-world and Doy. It's been very inspiring to receive and give support with you guys! 

I especially owe a lot to Flylin for making the game page here, the programming and music and sounds effect to my part of the story, so.. quite a bit. 

It was last december when I had started writing drafts, with whatever I could manage to put into words. It had been some time since I had tried something like that seriously. Eventually I came with the confidence to write a VN, completely unsuported by any evidence of course. I kept trying to come up with stuff and eventually I ended up with something like a prologue to what could be a first attempt at a VN. It was around january I think (?), when I read about the Love and Affection Game Jam. I wondered if I should start something else when I was already cooking something. Eventually my curiosity was stronger than my prudence so I ended up deciding to take part in it.

I had this idea, to make it easier for me, to write a very short story, like just a short moment. At first I was even planning to write four of those by myself, how naive of me, I thought one month was plenty of time. But the format did help me, I felt like I didn't have to explain much, even to myself, and just show what was happening there. It was on february when I received further inspiration to start drawing the characters. In retrospect I couldn't progress much with that first draft, which I hope to tackle on soon, but I'm very happy I took the decision not to think much and just go with it. It was a very good experience.

Anyways, I might come back to this in the future, to fix up some stuff, especially the sprites. Some of them are a bit rough, but I just want to release it as it is, I can't keep waiting.

Sometimes I feel less capable of doing something like this, writing up stuff and release it as something. So being able to somehow finish it, is a reminder I can do it. And for that I have to give my thanks not just the rest of the group, but also the people in my life that inspire me and give me hope that doing stuff like this it's not only possible but also worth doing. Thank you!"
